   The most theatrical entry, and one of the most memorable. Jennifer buys a suit of armor and discovers a college history professor's body stuffed inside it, then the teaching assistant becomes the next victim. Academic rivalries and backyard medieval reenactments push this toward the franchise's wilder edge. The climax does not disappoint.

   A genuinely creepy object kicks this one off. An old reel-to-reel recorder picked up at a garage sale plays back a man pleading for his life, pulling Jennifer into the world of a murdered psychologist and his therapy group. The recording hook makes it one of the more suspenseful films in the run.

   When a bass player dies before a tour with a country star, Jennifer reads the scene as staged rather than a suicide and starts pulling at the inconsistencies.
