Fixer Upper Mysteries asks a simple question: what if your home-renovation contractor also solved the murders she kept stumbling into? The 2017 follow-up, and the moodiest of the three. While renovating a historic mansion for Mac, Shannon makes a grim discovery behind the walls that cracks open a decades-old cold case, the kind of small-town secret somebody clearly wanted left buried. This is the one that leans furthest into proper mystery rather than light caper, and it's better for it. Rated 6.7.

Deadly Deed: A Fixer Upper Mystery(2018)
The 2018 finale, and the most personal entry. Shannon takes on a charity job turning a donated Victorian into low-income housing, then finds the banker who fought the project dead on the site. With a hard deadline closing in and her own friends under suspicion, she and Mac race the case while their romance finally stops simmering. Rated 6.7.
