Robert Wisden is the kind of actor Hallmark keeps in the second chair, never the lead but turning up across eight films since 2020 to give a scene its weight. He plays it straight, no winking at the camera, which suits the small towns and gentle Spring settings where his work tends to land. Three of his eight are Christmas titles, and the best of the bunch is Five Star Christmas from 2020 at 6.9, just ahead of A Royal Runaway Romance and Gingerbread Miracle. Robert Charles Wisden is an English actor who has an extensive career in Canadian and American film and television, for which he has won a Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-series for The Sheldon Kennedy Story at the 15th Gemini Awards in 2000. Best known for playing U.S. President Richard Nixon in the 2009 American neo-noir superhero film Watchmen, he has acted on many series, including Da Vinci's Inquest, Smallville, The X-Files, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Highlander and Jeremiah.
