    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The protagonist's daily affirmation involves rolling anxieties into a 'tiny ball' and physically throwing them away.
    • The love interest uses the specific weight of '96 elephants' to reassure the protagonist about bridge safety.
    • A significant plot point involves 'Goat Yoga' in the middle of nowhere.
    • The protagonist's mother apparently used the exact same 'Time Capsule Challenge' to find her husband, suggesting a family tradition of dead-parent-mandated dating.

    Full story (spoilers)
Taylor is a professional organizer who manages her deep-seated anxiety through a strict regimen of daily affirmations and hyper-organization. On her 30th birthday, her father presents her with a time capsule buried by her late mother years ago. Inside are six envelopes, each containing a challenge intended to help Taylor overcome the fears that have limited her life. The first challenge is to 'Get to Know Someone New,' which leads her to properly introduce herself to her new neighbor, Josh, a disorganized college coach and widower, and his young daughter, Chloe, who suffers from similar anxieties. As Taylor helps Chloe prepare for a school presentation on elephants, she and Josh begin to bond. Subsequent challenges force Taylor to face her fears. Josh helps her complete the second challenge—facing a fear—by guiding her across a high bridge, which he reassures her can hold the weight of '96 elephants.' For the third challenge, Taylor 'plays hooky' from her business, Space to Live, to spend a day with Josh making sushi and helping him unpack. During the unpacking, she discovers an engagement ring, leading her to mistakenly believe Josh is planning to propose to Sara, his late wife's best friend. Despite her growing feelings and the heartbreak of the assumed engagement, Taylor continues her mother's list, joining a kids' basketball team for the fourth challenge and taking a spontaneous road trip to 'nowhere' with Josh for the fifth, which results in a session of goat yoga. The final challenge, 'Tell someone you love them,' proves the most difficult. After a failed attempt to 'cheat' the challenge by telling her assistant Kyle she loves him, Taylor realizes she must be honest with Josh. She visits him just as Sara is present, assuming she is witnessing a proposal. However, Taylor's father reveals that her mother actually met him by completing these same challenges, proving the system works. Taylor finally confesses her love to Josh. Josh reveals that the ring was a 'surprise' he had misplaced and that Sara was merely a friend encouraging him to move on. Josh reciprocates Taylor's feelings, and the film concludes with the new couple and Chloe heading out on a spontaneous picnic, with Taylor finally able to 'throw away' her anxieties.
