    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The character of DJ Anizege, an EDM artist who wears sunglasses indoors and talks about 'Mykonos-beach-at-sunrise intimate' vibes.
    • The repeated use of the word 'pizzazzy' as a professional marketing metric.
    • The concept of a 'Times Square county fair' as a viable marketing strategy.

    Full story (spoilers)
Mackenzie 'Mac' Sullivan is a successful brand consultant in New York City who finds herself losing major accounts to Jasmine, a 'branding selfie queen' influencer. When her best friend Olivia, a pediatrician, announces she is moving her wedding up to just two weeks away in their hometown of Sweet Grove, Mac agrees to help plan it. Upon arriving, she is reunited with Dylan, Olivia's cousin and her father Elliot's right-hand man at the family maple syrup farm. Mac and Dylan have a complicated history, and their reunion is marked by friction as Mac tries to impose high-end, 'pizzazzy' NYC trends—like spiced chai cakes and haute couture dresses—on Olivia’s desire for a simple, authentic wedding. Meanwhile, Mac notices her father is struggling with his health and the farm's finances, eventually discovering a foreclosure notice. She misinterprets Dylan’s attempts to help as a power-grab when she learns he has power of attorney. Desperate to save her career, Mac books a world-famous DJ, Anizege, for the wedding, hoping the publicity will win back her clients. However, the DJ holds an unauthorized 'pre-show' that trashes the local church and posts it to social media, leading to a devastating fallout with Olivia. Following a minor heart attack suffered by her father, Mac realizes she has been prioritizing her career over her values. She learns that Dylan was actually trying to save the farm by taking on the debt himself. With the help of her NYC colleague Tristen, Mac pivots the wedding to a beautiful, authentic 'country chic' event that honors Olivia's wishes. At the reception, Mac’s marketing of the 'authentic' wedding goes viral for the right reasons, but she realizes she no longer wants the NYC life. She reconciles with Dylan, who confesses he has always loved her, and she decides to stay in Sweet Grove to help run the farm and build a life with him.
