Forget the snow. Dylan Neal's Hallmark home is the kitchen and the crime scene, not the small town at Christmas, and only two of his fifteen films are holiday titles at all. He top-bills five of them, and most of the rest unfold in the big city rather than a cozy village, which fits a run built largely around the Gourmet Detective mysteries. His best of the bunch is Roux the Day: A Gourmet Detective Mystery from 2020 at 7.1, with the 2015 original Gourmet Detective a close 6.8 behind it. He plays this material straight, no winking at the camera. He also keeps a real partner: Brooke Burns turns up alongside him in five films, so this is a genuine pairing rather than rotating faces. If you like your Hallmark with a recipe and a body to find, he is your guy.
