Dan Jeannotte is the kind of actor Hallmark plugs in around its leads rather than building the poster around, and across ten films since 2015 he has never been the top-billed name. That suits him. He works best in the supporting orbit, and his 6.8 average says the projects he picks land somewhere comfortably watchable. Small towns turn up in four of the ten, and his strongest outing is still one of his earliest, Good Witch Halloween from 2015, which at 7.6 sits well above the rest. All I Need for Christmas, a 7.0 from 2024, and the 6.8 Paris, Wine & Romance from 2019 trail behind it. He has no fixed partner either, drifting between casts instead of locking into a duo. If you watch enough of these, you have seen him do steady, unshowy work on the edges of someone else's love story.
Daniel Jeannotte is a Canadian actor. He gained recognition for his roles as Brandon Russell in the American-Canadian fantasy television series Good Witch, and as James Stuart in the CW period drama series Reign. He also portrayed Arno Dorian through performance capture in Assassin's Creed Unity, an action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. In April 2017, Jeannotte joined the Freeform drama series The Bold Type as Ryan Decker, a writer at Pinstripe magazine, who is Jane Sloan's romantic interest. Since 2022, Jeannotte has also played the recurring role of Sam Kirk in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Across 10 films, Dan often leans into Christmas and is often set in small towns.
