Why we’d put this one on

Weirdness 9 and a Valentine's confection with a magic-recipe hook. Eloise Mumford is Lucy Sweet, whose family bakery is rumored to hold a secret recipe for finding true love, and Dan Jeannotte is the journalist who comes to investigate the legend. Brenda Strong plays her mother, Helen. The premise leans into actual sweet-shop magic rather than coincidence, which gives the enemies-to-lovers banter a fun supernatural backdrop. No spoilers on whether the recipe works, naturally. If you want a chocolate-and-candy-hearts romance with a touch of the genuinely enchanted and a likable, sparky lead pairing, this is a warm pick for a February night in.
