Teri Polo is the rare Hallmark face who skips the December rush. Of her ten films across 2003 to 2020, only two are Christmas titles, and she does most of her work in warm weather, with summer her busiest stretch and the small town her usual backdrop. She leads more often than not, top-billing six of the ten, and she plays it straight rather than chasing anything high concept. Her best-reviewed outing is the early one, Straight from the Heart from 2003 at 6.8, with The Christmas Shepherd and A Taste of Romance close behind. She has no fixed partner either. Different co-stars come and go, so she carries the picture rather than leaning on a pairing. If you want a steady lead and a sunny, low-stakes premise, she is worth a look.
