Forget the snow globes, John Larroquette built his Hallmark run on murder. Since 2004 he has top-billed 11 of his 15 films, and none of them are Christmas titles. His turf is the big city, with 7 set on busy streets rather than cozy town squares, and the work that defines him is the McBride mystery series, the kind of slow-burn whodunit you settle into on a rainy afternoon. The high point is McBride: The Chameleon Murder from 2005, which at 7.0 just edges out Murder Past Midnight and It's Murder, Madam, both from the same busy year. John Bernard Larroquette is an American actor. He is known for his starring roles in the NBC military drama series Baa Baa Black Sheep (1976–1978), the NBC sitcom Night Court for which he received four consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards wins for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series during the earlier incarnation, the NBC sitcom The John Larroquette Show (1993–1996), the David E. Kelley legal drama series The Practice (1997–2002), the ABC legal comedy-drama series Boston Legal (2004–2008), and the TNT series The Librarians (2014–2018).
