If you came to Brooke Burns expecting small-town snow, you've got the wrong actress. Across nine films since 2008, seven put her in the big city, and Christmas barely figures: only two of the nine are holiday titles. She top-bills four of them, so she is a regular face here without being a guaranteed headliner. What she does have is a crew. Matthew Kevin Anderson, Dylan Neal and Samantha Ferris each turn up alongside her in five films, the steady ensemble of her Gourmet Detective mysteries. Her highest mark is the 2008 holiday outing The Most Wonderful Time of the Year at 7.3, with Roux the Day from 2020 just behind at 7.1. She plays it all straight, no winking. If you like a tidy mystery and a familiar bench of co-stars, she's good company.
