    Full story (spoilers)
In Boston, Abril Torres sits through a job interview that quickly turns hostile when the interviewer fixates on the year she spent away from corporate consulting and treats her as a cautionary tale. Soon after, her cousin Belinda calls from Argentina with surprising news: someone wants to buy the family ranch, La Rambla. Belinda wants to sell her half so she can finally open a restaurant, and Abril, still trying to recover her career, persuades her to let her come help find another solution. Abril returns to Argentina and is immediately pulled back into the ranch’s rhythm, the heat, and the memories she left behind. She also runs straight into Diego Mendez, her childhood summer sweetheart, who now works the land as a caretaker and prides himself on preserving gaucho traditions. Their reunion is awkward and charged; they tease, argue, and clearly still know each other too well, even as they clash over city life versus ranch life and over whether the property should be sold or saved. As Abril digs into the numbers, she discovers that the purchase offer is suspiciously low because of a long-forgotten loan tied to old flood repairs. She brings in Antonio Tenaglia, a lawyer and old friend, to review the paperwork, and the situation worsens when Tomás Campagnaro arrives as a potential investor. Tomás is connected to the bank that now owns the loan, and it becomes clear that he does not just want to invest in La Rambla — he wants control of the ranch itself. While the financial pressure builds, Abril and Diego keep circling each other emotionally. They spend time on horseback, at lunches, in Buenos Aires, and even dancing tango, and those moments reveal how much history and affection still live between them. Abril also learns that Diego once left for Mexico City, hated the finance world, and chose a freer life on the ranch, while she admits that her own corporate success became hollow and soulless. Both of them are trying to prove something to themselves, and both are scared of repeating old heartbreak. A breakthrough seems possible when Abril receives a job offer from her former coworker Kevin Murphy in Boston. With a stable income, her savings, and the sale of her condo, she devises a way to pay off the loan and let Diego buy out Belinda, which would preserve the ranch and still give Belinda money for her restaurant. But her plan would also send Abril back to Boston, and Diego initially refuses the idea of a business partnership that keeps her tied to the ranch. After Abril leaves, Diego realizes he cannot lose her again. He writes her a letter asking her to come home and finally tells her what he should have said years earlier: that he loves her and has loved her since they were kids. Abril returns, understands that she no longer wants to walk away from the life and love she has found, and the two reunite with a shared future in mind, ready to lead sunrise trail rides together and build something new on the ranch.
