Christmas in Evergreen

The film begins in Evergreen, Vermont, a town rumored to be so far north that one can see the North Pole. The town is home to a magical snow globe that allegedly grants the 'true wish of your heart.' Allie Shaw, the local veterinarian, is packing up her life to move to Washington D.C. to live near her boyfriend, Spencer, hoping to fix their long-distance relationship. Simultaneously, Ryan Bellamy and his young daughter Zoe are passing through town on their way to a Florida cruise, as Ryan wants to avoid the painful memories of their first Christmas since his wife passed away. When a blizzard cancels all flights and Allie's vintage truck breaks down, she meets Ryan and Zoe. Finding no hotel rooms available, Allie arranges for them to stay at a local inn run by her friend Barbara. Back in Evergreen, the town's Christmas festival faces a crisis when a water pipe bursts in the town hall. Allie steps in to save the tradition by suggesting they host the event in a local barn. While helping with the festival preparations, Allie and Ryan bond over shared values; they even work together to deliver a calf, which Zoe names 'Snowflake.' Ryan, a doctor who has moved away from patient care into research, finds himself revitalized by the small-town atmosphere. Meanwhile, Spencer arrives unexpectedly via helicopter, showcasing his 'swanky' lifestyle and pressuring Allie to leave for a high-society party in the Hamptons. The contrast between Spencer’s ambition and the warmth of Evergreen leads Allie to a realization. She breaks up with Spencer, choosing to stay in Evergreen where she feels she belongs. Zoe, who made a wish on the magical snow globe to spend Christmas in Evergreen, is disappointed when her father insists they try for their Florida flight again once the roads clear. However, at the airport, their flight is canceled due to mechanical issues. Ryan realizes that Zoe’s happiness—and his own—is tied to the magic they found in Vermont. They return to the festival just as the town is celebrating. Ryan hints at staying to become the town's new doctor, and the film concludes with the town gathered for a feast, Allie and Ryan together, and the implication that the mysterious local man, Nick, is actually Santa Claus.
