    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • Brian feeds his old Wall Street resumes to his goats as a symbolic gesture.
    • The protagonist refers to her goats as 'livestock investments' with tails.
    • The 'musical plumbing' is treated as a charming character trait of the house rather than a health hazard.
    • Brian's transition from high-powered trader to goat-herder is treated as a completely logical career pivot.

    Full story (spoilers)
The film opens with Jenny, a professional chef, and Brian, a former Wall Street trader, preparing to open the bed and breakfast they inherited in Bucks County. Their relationship is tested early on when a severe autumn storm causes the roof to leak and the electrical wiring to fail, depleting their remaining savings. Facing financial ruin before their first guest even arrives, Brian is approached by a former client, Roger Bailey, to consult on a major merger in New York City. Though hesitant to leave Jenny and his beloved goats, Brian begins commuting to Manhattan to earn the money needed for repairs. Meanwhile, Jenny faces her own crisis when her baked goods distributor is bought out, leaving her without a way to sell her products. She eventually pivots by striking a deal with a local coffee shop and later a larger chain called Creamacinos. As Brian spends more time in the city, even staying overnight at his friend Harry's apartment, the 'adrenaline' of his old life begins to pull at him, causing Jenny to feel neglected. The inn hosts its first guests, including a couple named the Stanleys and a mysterious woman named Denise, who is secretly Susan Barry, a famous and harsh travel blogger known as 'The Out-of-Towner.' Subplots involve the neighbor Alice finding romance with a guest named Mitchell, and Tommy, the general store owner, flirting with the undercover blogger. The tension peaks when Brian is invited to a high-society Wall Street party where he realizes he no longer fits into that world, despite his professional success. During a final high-stakes meeting to close a merger, Brian has an epiphany: he misses his goats and his life with Jenny more than the thrill of the deal. He quits the project and returns to Bucks County just in time for the inn's grand opening. Susan Barry reveals her true identity and gives the inn a glowing five-star review, specifically praising the food and the romantic atmosphere. The film concludes with Brian re-proposing to Jenny on the porch, reaffirming their commitment to the inn and each other.
