About the series

Jane Da Silva's inheritance comes with work attached: a foundation that runs a detective agency. She takes on cases with her Aunt Sadie and Detective John Cameron in her corner, while her background as a singer remains useful. Start with the inheritance itself. The later films assume that Jane has begun this new life, including a college case that sends her back toward her own past.

What to expect

Jane's investigations concern people who need someone to keep asking questions. Her musical background is part of the premise, not something the series discards when she starts detective work. Sadie and John give her continuing partners as the cases move between an inherited business, a contested conviction and older secrets.
