    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The obsession with a specific discontinued wine called 'Thunderbolt Rose' found only in drugstores in two specific Oklahoma towns.
    • The invention of 'Apologade' (apology lemonade) as a romantic gesture.
    • The recurring mention of 'Milky Milk Moon Bars' as a high-stakes culinary requirement.
    • The 'Flannigan' cousins subplot where ten people show up uninvited to a high-end destination wedding and the planner just 'makes it work'.

    Full story (spoilers)
The film opens at the Willow Lake Inn where Mick Turner and Olivia Pershing are both secretly attempting to plan a surprise for the 25th anniversary of their first date. Annalise Collins, a professional wedding planner and friend of the couple, arrives to coordinate the wedding of Jen and Lucas. Annalise is under immense pressure because an investment group is scouting her new independent company, and her career depends on this wedding being flawless. The situation becomes complicated when the best man arrives and is revealed to be Brad Buckley, Annalise's ex-boyfriend. Their history is painful; Brad broke up with Annalise five years prior on the very day they were packed and ready to move to New York City. While Annalise tries to maintain a professional distance, Brad attempts to bridge the gap, even offering her 'Apologade'—a special apology lemonade—to soften her stance. As the wedding week progresses, the group deals with various hurdles, including a crisis over wedding schedules and fonts, and the sudden arrival of ten uninvited 'Flannigan' cousins. Brad steps up to help Annalise impress her investor, Cameron, by taking him on a private hiking and rafting excursion, showcasing the 'full experience' of a destination wedding. Meanwhile, Mick struggles with a broken generator and the search for a discontinued, cheap wine called 'Thunderbolt Rose' to recreate his first date with Olivia. During the rehearsal dinner, the bride, Jen, gives a moving speech about how Lucas made her a better person who doesn't sweat the small details, which deeply affects Annalise and Brad. On the wedding day, the ceremony is a success, and the investor offers Annalise his recommendation. In the emotional aftermath, Brad finally explains the real reason he stayed behind five years ago: he feared his lack of career direction would hold Annalise back from her dreams in the city. He reveals he has opened an office in New York to be near her. The film concludes with Mick's surprise for Olivia in the barn, where he has gathered 'Milky Milk Moon Bars' and the rare Oklahoma drugstore wine. He presents her with a photo album of their history and finally asks her to marry him, to which she joyfully says yes.
