Tracy and Nick, a couple married for three years but consumed by their high-pressure careers in New York, realize they have become 'Post-it note' spouses who rarely see each other. They decide to take a spontaneous honeymoon to Greece, but upon arrival in Rhodes, they find every hotel booked due to a soccer tournament. A local boat captain named Pen offers them a ride to Lindos, where they stay at Casita Casita, a charming but struggling inn run by siblings Tessa and Xander. Tracy brings along her 'magical' antique wedding veil, which she intends to deliver to her sister in Spain. The veil begins to exhibit its legendary behavior when it mysteriously moves from Tracy's room to the wardrobe of another guest, Colin Dalton. While Tracy investigates the 'teleporting' veil, Nick discovers that Xander is an abysmal cook whose food is 'unsalvageable.' To save the inn's reputation, Nick begins secretly taking over the kitchen duties at night. Tracy meets Leo, a young orphan and talented artist who sells drawings at the docks to save money to visit his 'uncle' Orion in Athens. Tracy's friends Avery and Emma arrive, crashing the honeymoon to help film an art history video at Leo's school, which helps soften the stance of the strict Headmaster Papadopoulos. The mystery of the moving veil is solved when Lady Dalton, Colin's grandmother, reveals she is a retired British spy who has been picking locks to move the veil, hoping its legend will help Colin fall in love with Tessa. After a moving trip to Athens where Leo reunites with his memory-impaired uncle, Tracy and Nick realize they want to be more than just donors to Leo's future. Lady Dalton reveals she possesses letters from historical figures like Winston Churchill, the sale of which will fund a scholarship for Leo. The film concludes with a flash-forward to Tessa and Colin's wedding, where it is revealed that Tracy and Nick have brought Leo to New York to live with them and attend art school, officially becoming a family.
