    Full story (spoilers)
The film opens with Sara Kelly, an Irish-American chef, running her restaurant 'Munch' in Miami while struggling to secure financing for a new location. Simultaneously, Tony Rodriguez is a successful star chef in New York City who is feeling burnt out by the high-pressure culinary world. Both return to their old neighborhood in Miami to cater the 15th birthday parties (quinceañeras) for their nieces, Lola and Teresa. Ten years prior, Sara and Tony were a couple who planned to start a fusion food truck called 'Cubish,' but the relationship ended abruptly when Tony was accepted into a prestigious Parisian cooking school and Sara was not, leading Tony to leave her behind. Upon returning, Tony and Sara have a chance encounter at a local market, reigniting old tensions and sparks. The situation is complicated by the fact that their sisters-in-law, Dolores and Maria, were once best friends but are now estranged due to perceived social slights and a past real estate dispute. A local magazine, 'Savory South Florida,' decides to feature the families in a cover story, pitting the 'award-winning star' Tony against the 'amateur' Sara. This rivalry escalates when both nieces accidentally choose the same emerald green dress, leading to a confrontation at a boutique. Despite the external drama, Tony and Sara begin spending time together, eventually collaborating on a 'Ropa Pie'—a Cuban-Irish fusion of shepherd's pie—which proves their culinary chemistry is still alive. Tony helps Lola with her dance moves, and Sara helps Tony reconnect with the joy of cooking. However, a misunderstanding arises when the magazine publishes a sensationalized article using out-of-context quotes, and Tony attempts to outbid Sara on a restaurant space she wanted, intending it as a surprise partnership that she perceives as an act of pity. On the eve of the parties, a kitchen fire destroys the venue for Lola's quinceañera. In a moment of growth, the two nieces, Lola and Teresa, conspire to end the family feud by suggesting a joint celebration. The families reconcile, and the 'double quince' becomes a massive success. During the party, the nieces give a moving speech about their shared childhood, and the magazine reporter realizes the real story is about family unity rather than rivalry. Tony decides to move back to Miami permanently, and he and Sara finally launch their dream restaurant, 'Cubish,' as equal partners and a reunited couple.
