Love on the Danube: Kissing Stars

The film begins with Savannah Bailey losing her job at a non-profit PR firm just as her best friend Teddy, a cruise director, invites her to join a 'KissCon' event on the Emerald Sun cruise ship. Savannah meets Tripp Nelson at the airport, where he arrogantly assumes she wants a selfie; she is unimpressed, setting up a 'grumpy-meets-unimpressed' dynamic. Once on the ship, Savannah discovers she is Tripp's assigned publicist. Tripp is a reluctant heartthrob who would rather be on his ranch in Montana than dealing with fawning fans. Under the guidance of event organizer Liam Barkley, Savannah helps Tripp navigate interviews, including a successful segment with 'Rom Com Mom' where Tripp reveals his small-town roots and his real name, Walter. A subplot involves Betty, a frequent cruiser, who reconnects with veteran actor Rex Callan, revealing they had a romantic history as young actors decades prior. As the ship stops in Vienna and Regensburg, Savannah and Tripp's relationship deepens through a horse-drawn carriage ride and an improv session on stage where they show surprising chemistry. However, conflict arises when Liam pressures Tripp to maintain a 'showmance' with his co-star Isla Gray to secure a major movie trilogy. During an excursion to Rothenburg, Tripp splits his pants (lederhosen) and the pair misses a key event, leading Liam to fire Savannah. The tension peaks at a public Q&A when Tripp, fearing for his career, denies having a romantic interest in his life, deeply hurting Savannah. Encouraged by Captain Magnusson to stay true to himself, Tripp uses the premiere of his film 'One More Kiss' to make a grand public gesture. He stops the screening to declare his love for Savannah, finally taking the selfie she never asked for with the entire audience. The film concludes with Savannah deciding to start her own PR firm and the couple planning a future together in Montana.
