A warmer, more grown-up Hallmark than usual, and worth a look for that alone. Melora Hardin plays a famous romance novelist who returns home after five years away to reconnect with her adult kids, who are sorting out their own love lives via a hyper-local app called Classifie. Katherine McNamara co-stars, and the film gives real space to a queer romance among the leads. The app is gloriously specific: people use it to shame local shoplifters and, somehow, to find foot photos. At weirdness 5 it is mostly heartfelt, occasionally absurd, and a nice change of pace if you want a spring-set family story over another snowstorm.

“I abandoned my children. They were grown children, but... I stranded them to handle their grief alone, and for that I am very sorry.”
“Why is it that everyone assumes a single woman with a fulfilling career and an active social life is still on the hunt for a man?”
