    How unusual is it?

Middle of the road, with a twist — angels/heaven, an actual miracle and a second-chance romance keep it from being totally by-the-book.

    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The protagonist has a recurring medical-level inability to keep jewelry on her person, which serves as a major plot device.
    • The film is based on a 'true story' and includes a post-script about the real-life couple.
    • The heavy-handed use of the trademarked term 'Godwink' to describe every minor coincidence.

    Full story (spoilers)
Margie Southworth is a highly organized Regional VP of Marketing at Connor & Co. in Boise, Idaho, who has a peculiar 'curse' where jewelry constantly falls off her body. She is currently in a comfortable but low-passion relationship with Scott, a fellow manager. Pat Godfrey, Margie's high school boyfriend, returns to Boise from Hawaii with his two sons, John and PJ, following a divorce and the sale of his adventure business. Their first 'Godwink' occurs when Pat nearly runs into Margie in a parking lot while driving his late father's convertible; he returns a charm she lost 17 years ago at prom, which had been under his car seat all that time. As Pat struggles to find outdoor adventure work in the Idaho winter, Margie's boss, Willa, moves Scott to the Boise office for training, forcing Margie to confront the reality of her relationship. Pat's sons are struggling with the move, made worse when their Christmas ornaments are lost by the shipping company. Margie uses her corporate connections to track down the boxes, leading to an evening of tree trimming and snowman building that rekindles her and Pat's connection. The conflict intensifies when Pat meets a childhood friend in a coffee shop who offers him a job in Seattle. Margie initially fears Scott is being trained to replace her, but after an amicable breakup with Scott, she discovers that Willa is actually promoting her to Senior VP of the entire company. In a final, massive Godwink, Margie learns the corporate headquarters is being relocated to Seattle. The film concludes with Margie and Pat reuniting, realizing that every coincidence was a sign leading them back to each other, and they move to Seattle as a blended family.
