Jen Lilley plays an aspiring chef who lands a dream job at her culinary idol's restaurant, played by Frasier's Peri Gilpin, and befriends the handsome executive chef, Brendan Penny. When both get wrongly fired, they decide to open their own place and prove their food is simply better. It is a satisfying underdog-in-the-kitchen story with a slow-burn romance and a Valentine's setting. At a 6.6 it leans on warm comfort: rival restaurants, plenty of cooking, and two leads worth rooting for. There is a secret tucked into the plot that I will not touch. If you like your romance with an apron on, this is an easy watch.
