    Full story (spoilers)
Kerri Fox is a dedicated middle school teacher who recently moved to Seattle to be with her boyfriend, Adam. However, Adam is a workaholic who consistently prioritizes his career over their relationship. After he arrives an hour late to their anniversary dinner at Cantina Corazon, Kerri breaks up with him in the restaurant. The restaurant's owner, David Martinez, witnesses the breakup and offers Kerri a 'comfort food' burrito, establishing an initial, albeit awkward, connection. In her classroom, Kerri launches the Annual Business Competition (ABC), a project where students must create and run a real business. Clara Martinez, David’s daughter, is struggling with her grades and decides to start 'Cupid Clara,' a matchmaking service. David, a protective father who prefers 'staying inside the box,' is skeptical of the project and joins the PTA to keep a close eye on Kerri’s teaching. As the project progresses, Clara successfully matches another teacher, Marnie, with a man named Gavin, proving her instincts. David eventually agrees to serve as a business mentor for the class, leading to frequent interactions with Kerri. The two begin to bond while preparing for a Valentine's Day fundraiser at the restaurant, where they spend an evening making heart-shaped tortillas and discussing David's family legacy and Kerri's past struggles with a stutter. Their budding romance faces a hurdle when David's ex-wife, Eva, returns from Texas, leading Kerri to feel like an intruder in their family dynamic. Feeling discouraged and lonely, Kerri considers moving back to Oregon at the end of the school year. At the district-wide ABC awards, Clara wins the prestigious Innovation Award for her matchmaking business. During the celebration, it is revealed that Clara was the 'secret admirer' sending candygrams to Kerri on David's behalf to nudge them together. Clara confesses that while she loves having her mother back, she knows her parents aren't a romantic match, but Kerri and David are. In the final scene, Kerri reveals she has decided to stay in Seattle, moved by the support of her students and her new relationship with David. The film concludes with David and Kerri finally acknowledging their feelings for one another at the restaurant.
