Witness to Murder: A Darrow mystery
Film sourceClaire defends a former colleague of Joanna's while Miles takes the prosecution. Their work places them on opposite sides of a murder case with a direct connection to her mother.
About the series
Claire Darrow wants her legal practice to help people who need a defender. Her mother Joanna has a sharper eye for profit, and prosecutor Miles Strasberg makes the boundary between work and romance awkward. Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Wendie Malick and Tom Cavanagh lead a series in which family disagreements matter alongside the evidence. The fourth film changes the title format, so it is easy to miss when searching only for Darrow & Darrow.
What to expect
Courtroom questions and the risk of a wrongful conviction drive Claire's cases. Her personal ties can put her close to both defendants and prosecutors, so the conflict is often about whether she can trust the people or evidence in front of her. The mother-daughter relationship supplies a continuing argument about what a lawyer owes a client.
