Jonathan Bennett has been turning up on Hallmark since 2010, though the network usually casts him in support rather than handing him the lead: only five of his eighteen films put him front and center. Christmas is where he shows up most, with seven holiday titles and a clear lean toward winter, often in a big city rather than the usual small town. He plays it straight, no winking at the camera. His best is "The Groomsmen Last Dance" from 2024 at 6.9, just ahead of "The Holiday Sitter" in 2022 at 6.6. One thing the numbers make plain is that he has no fixed co-star, drifting through casts instead of anchoring a pairing. If you like a familiar face who slots in without fuss, he has quietly worked the December shift for years.
Jonathan David Bennett is an American actor and television host. He is known for his roles as Aaron Samuels in the 2004 comedy film Mean Girls, Bud McNulty in 2005's Cheaper by the Dozen 2, the title character in the 2009 direct-to-DVD comedy Van Wilder: Freshman Year, and his recurring role as Casey Gant in the mystery drama Veronica Mars. He is the host of the Food Network series Halloween Wars, and he previously hosted Cake Wars.
Across 16 films, Jonathan often leans into Christmas and is frequently set in the big city.
