    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • Jackson manages a client whose only talent is eating soup on camera.
    • Jackson manages a client who burps 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
    • The bride runs away because her life isn't as dramatic as a movie.
    • A recurring subplot involves the strategic hiding and finding of canned tomatoes.

    Full story (spoilers)
The film begins at a wedding venue where the bride, Elizabeth (formerly known as Betty), is hiding from her groomsmen. She explains to a bartender named Kate that she feels her relationship with her fiancΓ© Milo lacks the 'epic' quality of her father Jackson's romance. The story shifts to a flashback in Sperlonga, Italy. Jackson, a talent manager for bizarre social media influencers (like a man who eats soup and another who burps opera), arrives to watch Betty. His first encounter with Gabriella is a near-miss car accident where she scolds him for being a distracted American tourist. Their friction continues when Jackson tries to order a cappuccino in the afternoon, which Gabriella informs him is against Italian tradition. Betty, sensing a spark, manipulates Jackson into helping Gabriella with her restaurant's failing website. However, Jackson offends Gabriella by using a 'fake' historical photo for branding, leading her to believe he doesn't value truth. Despite this, they bond over fresh tomatoes and a shared struggle with family dynamics; Gabriella wants to merge her mother's restaurant with her father Lorenzo's vineyard, but the two haven't spoken in years. At a masked festival, Jackson and Gabriella share a romantic dance without Jackson realizing her identity until the end. Jackson initially tries to end things, fearing he isn't ready for love six years after his divorce, but Betty and his friends Pete and Danny push him to take a risk. Jackson drives Gabriella to her father's vineyard, but the car breaks down, forcing them to walk and talk through their fears. Jackson eventually convinces Lorenzo to trust his daughter, leading Lorenzo to sign the business merger. Jackson realizes he doesn't want to leave Italy and decides to stay to pursue a relationship with Gabriella. Back in the present, Milo finds Elizabeth and reveals he has loved her since they were nine, showing her a 'secret message' he left on a high-score screen of a video game years ago. Realizing their story is special in its own way, Elizabeth proceeds with the wedding. The film concludes with a celebratory reception where Jackson and Gabriella are still happily together, and the 'groomsmen' perform a choreographed dance.
