John Schneider is more of a Hallmark journeyman than a marquee draw, leading only 2 of his 6 films across a run that stretches from 2007 to 2016. Don't expect tinsel from him either, since not one of those titles lands at Christmas, which is rare for the network. He works the plain, grounded end of things, mostly small town, with the strange kept firmly off the table. The high point is You've Got a Friend from 2007 at 6.6, with Come Dance at My Wedding and Love by the Book close behind in the low sixes. He never settled into a regular pairing here, sharing just a film apiece with the likes of Tom Skerritt and Daryl Hannah, so think of him slotting into different casts rather than anchoring one.
