James Tupper is a useful man to have around a Hallmark set, the kind who fills out a cast rather than tops the bill. Across eight films from 2005 to 2022 he never takes the lead, and that suits him: he slots into small-town stories and lets the picture happen around him. His best showing is My Christmas Family Tree from 2021, which at 7.6 sits well above his 6.2 average and is easily the high point worth seeking out. Love's Long Journey, his 2005 debut, holds up at 7.1. He keeps things grounded rather than going for the high-concept stuff, and he does not travel with a regular partner, so you will spot him beside a rotating cast instead of one familiar face.
