Valentine in the Vineyard

The film opens at Sorrento Wines, where Frankie Baldwin and Nate DeLuca are celebrating their successful first year of expansion. Nate surprises Frankie with a romantic proposal delivered via drone, which she joyfully accepts. However, their celebration is cut short when Nate’s brother Marco and Frankie’s cousin Lexi announce they are getting married on Valentine’s Day—just four weeks away. Feeling it would be insensitive to overshadow the couple, Frankie and Nate decide to keep their own engagement a secret until after the wedding. This decision leads to immediate tension as their respective parents, Charles and Carla, continue their long-standing family rivalry by bickering over wedding details. To ensure they are truly ready for marriage, Frankie and Nate take a compatibility seminar but are dismayed to receive a low score. Determined to prove the test wrong, they attempt a series of 'compatibility activities' suggested by the seminar, including a disastrous zip-lining excursion and a highly competitive round of mini-golf that only highlights their different approaches to life. Meanwhile, both are keeping additional secrets: Frankie is finishing her college degree in bio-chemistry, and Nate is attending an organic farming workshop to better understand Frankie’s 'nature-based' perspective. The secret engagement is finally blown during a wedding shower game when Nate accidentally mentions the drone proposal while arguing about 'their song.' Rather than being upset, Lexi and Marco are thrilled and suggest a double wedding. The climax occurs when a sudden frost warning threatens the vineyard’s new expansion field. Lacking enough heaters to save the crop, Frankie and Nate combine their new knowledge—Frankie’s scientific understanding of freezing points and Nate’s organic vegetable oil spray—to protect the vines. The experiment is a success, saving the vineyard. Realizing that their differences are what make them a 'perfect pairing,' Frankie and Nate join Lexi and Marco for a beautiful double wedding on Valentine's Day, finally embracing their future together.
