    Full story (spoilers)
The film opens with Frankie Baldwin and Nate DeLuca enjoying their new life as partners at Sorrento Farms, though they struggle to balance their romantic relationship with business decisions. Frankie's cousin Lexy, a pastry chef whose Chicago restaurant recently closed, arrives in St. Madeline for a visit and immediately catches the eye of Nate’s brother, Marco. The town's 'Summerfest' plans are thrown into chaos when a massive sinkhole opens up on the road to the Lehman property, the original host winery. Seizing the opportunity for publicity, Nate signs a contract for Sorrento to host the event without consulting Frankie, leading to immediate tension over their limited finances and workload. Frankie is privately spiraling because their first Cabernet vintage isn't meeting her high standards; she secretly attempts to 'heat accelerate' the aging process in the cellar. Meanwhile, Nate experiments with an organic fertilizer on a test row to increase grape yield, eventually deciding to spray the entire vineyard despite Frankie's reservations. The conflict reaches a boiling point during a family dinner when Frankie admits the wine isn't ready and refuses to launch it, leading to a rift between the couple. However, Nate discovers that Frankie’s heat acceleration actually worked—the wine is excellent—but his fertilizer has begun to turn the vine leaves brown, threatening the entire crop. In the climax, the couple realizes they have been working in silos instead of as a team. They reconcile and combine their knowledge, using a 'banana peel' potassium treatment to neutralize the soil and save the vines. Summerfest is a massive success: the wine receives rave reviews from critics, Lexy secures a partnership with a world-renowned chef, and Frankie and Nate reaffirm their love, proving they are the 'perfect pairing.'
