Honestly? Not very — and that's the charm. It plays the hits, which is exactly the point for a cozy night in.

    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The protagonist's reliance on an app unfortunately named 'Orgit' (short for Organize It).
    • The extreme statistical improbability of two people jilted on the same day meeting and going to the same resort.
    • A 'Haunted Hawaii' ghost tour subplot involving 'Night Marchers' that feels tonally distinct from the rest of the film.

    Full story (spoilers)
The film begins with a double heartbreak: Hannah Holt is dumped by her fiancé Marcus via her sister just minutes before the ceremony, while Josh Wyatt is jilted at the altar by his fiancée Becca. The two strangers meet on a park bench in their wedding attire, commiserating over their shared misfortune. Hannah, a meticulous actuary, and Josh, a spontaneous app developer, encourage each other to 'take their power back' by going on their planned honeymoons alone. In a massive coincidence, they end up on the same flight to Oahu and check into the same honeymoon-themed resort, Paradiso Ipo. Hannah initially relies on 'Orgit,' an organization app Josh actually co-created, to manage her trip with a strict list of activities. Josh, meanwhile, reconnects with an old family friend, Alice, who owns a local bar. As Hannah and Josh spend time together, they participate in resort activities like a three-legged race (losing to a friendly couple, Nick and Cal) and hula lessons. Josh encourages Hannah to 'veer' from her list, leading to spontaneous adventures like kayaking, snorkeling with sea turtles, and a visit to a waterfall. They win a romantic dinner in a 'jungle bungalow' from Nick and Cal, where they share an intimate evening discussing why their previous relationships failed—realizing they were both in 'predictable' partnerships that lacked true spark. The conflict escalates when Marcus unexpectedly arrives in Hawaii, claiming he panicked at the altar but now wants to marry Hannah. He attempts a grand gesture by bringing her a $45 coconut drink she had mentioned wanting. Josh, seeing Marcus with Hannah, assumes they are reconciling and prepares to leave. However, Hannah realizes that Marcus only loved the 'perfect on paper' version of their life and that she has changed. She breaks up with him for good, acknowledging that she no longer wants a completely planned life. Simultaneously, Josh has a final conversation with Becca (who also reached out), finding closure. The film concludes back at the original park bench where they first met; Josh and Hannah reunite, having both embraced a more spontaneous lifestyle. A final flash-forward reveals they have married each other, with Hannah jokingly asking if he likes 'The Sound of Music' before they head off on a new 'paradise' trip.
