Meet Me at Christmas

The film opens with a memory of 1990, where two teenagers known only as 'Number Four' and 'Number Five' win a snowman contest and share a magical day at Snowfall Lodge. They agree to meet at the tree lighting, but the boy never shows up. In the present day, Joan is a dedicated florist whose son, Liam, is marrying Katie at the same lodge. When the wedding coordinator abruptly leaves for a celebrity elopement, Joan steps in to help. She is paired with Katie's uncle, Beau Sullivan, a famous 'lone wolf' travel photographer. Upon meeting, Joan realizes Beau is the man who stood her up decades ago, though she keeps this secret to protect Liam’s idealized version of how Joan met his late father, Morgan, that same night. As Joan and Beau work through the wedding checklist—including cake tastings and wreath-making—they clash over their lifestyles; Joan is rooted in family, while Beau avoids attachments. A subplot involves Liam turning down high-paying New York jobs to stay near family, a move Beau initially criticizes as irresponsible. Tensions peak when a storm causes a tree to crash through the wedding venue's roof. Joan and Beau pivot to create an outdoor 'winter wonderland' ceremony. At the rehearsal dinner, Beau's brother reveals the truth: Beau missed their date thirty years ago because he was hit by a car while saving his brother's life, resulting in a long hospitalization. Realizing Beau didn't intentionally abandon her, Joan finally opens her heart. Liam gives his mother his blessing to find love again. The film concludes with a successful outdoor wedding, Joan deciding to open her own floral business, and Beau choosing to end his nomadic lifestyle to stay in Colorado with Joan.
