    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The film leans heavily into Irish good-luck folklore, including lucky pennies, wishing trees, and throwing coal at a boat for luck.
    • Liam names his beers after literary references, creating a whimsical 'Literature Liquefied' bit.
    • The story frames life choices through repeated jokes about fate, horizons, and magical-feeling local superstitions.

    Full story (spoilers)
Fiona Grant is exhausted by the grind of chasing a dance career in New York. She misses a major audition, is stuck working around a shop emergency, and feels like her luck has completely run out until her adoptive mother, Helen, reveals an old letter from Fiona's birth mother, M.J. Ireland. Helen has hesitated to push the issue, but she finally books a mother-daughter trip to Ballymore, Ireland, hoping the journey will help Fiona and maybe bring the family story full circle. In Ballymore, Fiona and Helen settle into a cozy cottage and immediately get pulled into the rhythms of the village. Fiona meets Daisy, a friendly local florist, and Liam, the pub owner, whose banter with her is sharp, flirtatious, and instantly charged. Fiona also begins hearing about Irish luck rituals, old sayings, lucky pennies, and wishing trees, and she and Liam keep crossing paths as he helps her look into the trail leading to M.J. As Fiona spends more time with Liam, their connection deepens. He shows her the town's history, its folklore, and the playful rituals that give the place its charm, while Fiona notices that beneath his easy humor is real sadness: he used to be an engineer, but after the death of his wife, Lillian, he changed course and built a new life around the pub. Fiona, in turn, admits how much she has sacrificed for dance and how scared she is that she has built her identity entirely around one dream that may never come true. Fiona eventually discovers that M.J. works as a tour guide at a historic manor, and the reunion is overwhelming and deeply emotional. Fiona also learns more about her biological grandmother, GiGi, and begins to feel that the family she did not know she had is real and waiting for her. At the same time, New York calls with a second chance at Giselle, putting Fiona back at a crossroads between the career she has pursued for years and the life opening up in Ireland. As the trip winds down, Fiona realizes that she no longer wants to live as if happiness is always somewhere else. She rushes to an auction for the old Hanson building, the place that has been living in her mind as a possible dance studio, and with help from Helen, the village, and a well-timed conversation with the owner, she secures it on a lease. Fiona decides to stay in Ballymore, reconnects with her newfound family, and lets her future with Liam remain open and hopeful as she chooses a better horizon instead of the one she has been chasing from afar.
