    Full story (spoilers)
Lauren Collins is an assistant curator at the Denver Museum of Natural History, tasked with studying three ancient Anasazi wedding vases donated by the late Carissa Hollingston. The donation is suddenly jeopardized when Carissa’s grandnephew, Grady Hollingston, contests the will, intending to sell the relics on the antiquities market. Lauren discovers that the artwork on the vases is discontinuous, leading her to believe a fourth vase exists. Using Carissa’s 1956 travel journal as a map, Lauren travels to Zion National Park—a place she hasn't visited since her mother passed away—to find the missing piece and strengthen the museum's legal claim. Upon arrival, she meets Head Ranger Milly and is assigned Adam Proudstar, a local ranger of Anasazi descent, as her guide. Adam is initially skeptical of Lauren’s 'city' expertise, especially after he has to rescue her when she wanders off-trail. As they prepare for a multi-day trek into the backcountry, Adam introduces Lauren to his grandmother, Kaya, and his tech-obsessed brother, Tate. Kaya provides spiritual guidance, giving Lauren a kachina doll as a 'spirit guide' and mentioning a 'lost village' three sunsets to the west. During their hike, Lauren and Adam bond over shared stories; Lauren reveals she stayed away from Zion because it was her mother's favorite place, and Adam shares the spiritual significance of the vase symbols: Birth, Growth, and Eternity. The journey is marked by physical challenges, including Lauren twisting her ankle and a dramatic encounter with a rattlesnake, which Lauren neutralizes by throwing her coat over it—earning the nickname 'Batwoman.' They eventually discover a hidden passage and petroglyphs that match the vase designs, but their victory is short-lived. Grady Hollingston and an expert from a rival museum arrive via helicopter, having used a copy of the same journal to track Lauren. Grady seizes the fourth vase, claiming legal ownership. Adam feels betrayed, believing Lauren’s primary goal was museum prestige rather than cultural preservation. Lauren returns to the visitor center defeated but realizes a new strategy: if they can prove a direct bloodline connection between the vases and a living descendant, the law would favor the tribe over Grady. With help from Tate and Adam, they dig through un-digitized records. The breakthrough occurs when Kaya reveals a family photo and an oral history proving her own grandfather was the artisan who carved the symbols. This evidence forces the return of all four vases to the Anasazi Tribal Museum. The film concludes with a ceremony at the park and Lauren and Adam beginning a romantic relationship, with Lauren finally finding peace with her mother's memory.
