    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The biological brothers happen to meet at the exact same ski school in the same small town by pure coincidence.
    • The boys share a very specific 'DNA' trait of only eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches.
    • The protagonist and love interest both happen to be fans of obscure French sci-fi writer René Barjavel.

    Full story (spoilers)
Maddy is a high-achieving hotel professional in San Francisco who takes her adopted son, Wesley, to her hometown of Park City, Utah, for the Christmas holidays. Wesley is preoccupied with a school project about his family tree, which has sparked a deep desire to find his biological brother. Unbeknownst to Wesley, Maddy has already initiated a search through an adoption agency. Upon arrival, Maddy has a classic meet-cute with Paul, the owner of a struggling ski shop called The Warming Hut, when she accidentally knocks over a display of equipment. The connection deepens when Wesley and Cody, Paul's son, meet at ski school and become instant best friends, discovering they even share the same specific preference for peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Maddy eventually realizes that Cody is Wesley’s biological brother, but the situation is complicated: Paul’s late wife, Susan, passed away two years prior, and Paul is fiercely protective of Cody, who does not yet know he is adopted. Paul is hesitant to disrupt Cody's life with such a massive revelation, especially during the holidays. Meanwhile, Paul’s business is failing due to competition from larger resorts. Maddy uses her professional expertise to help Paul pitch a 'ski-hand' concierge service to her father, Charles, who owns the prestigious Silver Summit Hotel. This professional collaboration brings Maddy and Paul closer, as they bond over shared interests like French science fiction and the challenges of single parenthood. As Christmas approaches, the secret of the boys' brotherhood creates tension. Paul’s best friend Jeremy and sister Taylor (who are secretly dating) urge Paul to be honest and move forward with his life. Maddy is offered a General Manager position at her father's hotel, which would allow her to stay in Park City, but Paul’s fear of change and his plan to move to Colorado for a coaching job initially drive a wedge between them. However, after reading a letter Cody wrote to Santa asking for their families to be together, Paul realizes he is running away from happiness. He finally tells Cody the truth about his adoption, only to find that Cody had already suspected it. On Christmas Eve, Maddy and Paul bring the boys together to reveal they are biological brothers. The film concludes with the families united, Maddy accepting the local job, and the promise of a shared future for the two brothers and their parents.
