    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The 'facelift switch' where a teenager is used as a body double for a middle-aged woman.
    • A high-stakes federal kidnapping case being solved by a housewife because of 'sticky footrests' on a wheelchair.
    • The facility being named 'Hermione's Hideaway.'
    • The protagonist using her finger as a 'gun' because she doesn't believe in weapons.

    Full story (spoilers)
The film opens with the murder of Jimmy Coston, an informant for U.S. Attorney Phil Raphaelson, by crime boss Alex Brandt. Brandt is back in the country to protect his money-laundering interests, which involve Ray Jackson’s 'Fresh Start Construction.' Meanwhile, Phil’s wife, Caroline Raphaelson, undergoes a facelift and is sent to 'Hermione’s Hideaway' for recovery. When Phil and the doctor go to remove her bandages the next morning, the woman under the gauze is actually a teenage girl who immediately flees the scene. Caroline has been kidnapped, and a ransom demand is issued: Phil must drop all charges against Ray Jackson within 72 hours or Caroline will be killed. Frank Darnell of the CSA recruits Kathy Davis, a suburban mom who secretly works as a puzzle-solving consultant. Kathy begins investigating the staff at the facility, including Mac, a nurse with a criminal record, and Anna, a day nurse wearing suspiciously expensive jewelry. Kathy’s investigation leads her to a modeling agency where she identifies the teenage decoy as Holly Brubaker, only to find that Holly has been murdered by a private investigator named Owen Kramer. Through a conversation with Wilbur, a mentally challenged orderly, Kathy realizes the switch happened in the facility's elevator because the wheelchair footrests were no longer 'sticky,' indicating the chair itself had been swapped. Kathy eventually deduces that Phil’s own friend and lawyer, Parker Fleming, is the mastermind working for Alex Brandt. During a high-stakes political fundraiser, Kathy locates a drugged Caroline hidden on the premises. She manages to rescue Caroline and lead Frank to the evidence needed to arrest both Fleming and Brandt. The film concludes with Kathy returning to her normal life, having successfully balanced a federal kidnapping case with her son Nick's first middle school date.
