    Full story (spoilers)
The story opens on a tender memory from Amanda’s childhood, when her father gifts her a garden and teaches her that love is the key to growth. In the present, that lesson feels painfully out of reach: the Raymond family flower farm is behind on its mortgage, the Easter bloom is delayed by brutal weather, and the only way to keep the farm afloat may be an emergency loan that the bank is reluctant to approve. Amanda helps her mother run a small café and tries to keep spirits up, but she is clearly still grieving her father and the life the farm used to have. At the café, Amanda meets Derrick Matthews, the town’s new pastor, when he enthusiastically compliments her coffee and leaves a huge tip. Their chemistry is immediate and playful, especially as he returns for more coffee and she learns that the “Mr. Lavender Latte” is also an outdoorsman who secretly enjoys ax throwing, skydiving, and rock climbing. Their connection deepens when Derrick’s mother, Lori Matthews, comes to the farm after a car mishap on the ice. Lori turns out to be a retired florist and former competitor in the Easter Flower Arranging Competition, and she mentions that the contest’s $20,000 prize could be enough to save the farm. Amanda initially dismisses the idea because she has no formal floral training, but when the bank denies the loan, she changes her mind and asks Lori to teach her. Lori turns floral lessons into a series of life lessons based on five principles: harmony, contrast, purpose, balance, and love. The lessons are woven through church, shopping, baking, and small-town events, and each one helps Amanda rediscover her creativity and confidence. Derrick and Amanda continue to grow closer as he supports her, listens to her grief, and shares his own backstory: he once worked as a rock-climbing instructor, fell badly, and was left with a broken body and lasting guilt after a student was injured in the same accident. As the competition nears, tensions rise on multiple fronts. Amanda’s mother worries about the farm, the weather stays uncooperative, and Constance Hughes, the reigning floral champion and Lori’s estranged former best friend, looms as the rival to beat. Lori reveals that she and Constance were once inseparable and dreamed of opening a shop together, but Lori chose love and marriage over their shared future, breaking the friendship apart. At the same time, Derrick is offered a new mountain retreat job that would require relocation, and he is torn between opportunity and the growing bond he has with Amanda. Amanda trains hard, incorporating meaningful personal items into her entries, and gradually learns that floral design is less about technical perfection than about expressing heart, memory, and faith. Derrick also begins to shed his own armor. On Easter Sunday, he publicly confesses the truth about his accident, admits he has struggled to forgive himself, and declares that he is committed to embracing who God created him to be, including his love for rock climbing. Meanwhile, Amanda’s competition entry earns her runner-up honors, but Constance ultimately has a change of heart and gives Amanda the $20,000 prize money, allowing the farm to survive. In the resolution, Derrick turns down the relocation offer, choosing the future he sees with Amanda instead. Amanda’s family celebrates Easter with renewed hope, and the farm begins imagining a new direction as a one-stop wedding venue. The final note is one of healing and possibility: Amanda has saved the family legacy, Constance and Lori reconcile, Derrick and Amanda openly acknowledge the life they are building together, and the farm becomes a place where love, faith, and new beginnings can take root.
