All Saints Christmas

The film opens with Lissette Toussaint, a successful singer, learning from her label rep Zac that her holiday tour projections are failing and she has been replaced as the headliner for the label's Christmas party by a younger artist named Oshen. While shopping at a Christmas market, Lissette runs into her ex-boyfriend, music producer Matthew Miles. When Lissette drops a ring and Matthew's back seizes up while he tries to return it, a photographer captures a photo that looks like a marriage proposal. The image goes viral under the hashtag #LissMat, and Lissette's mother, Ora, immediately calls to celebrate the 'engagement.' Seeing a PR opportunity to save her career and support her father Abner’s final concert before he retires and closes his legendary jazz club, All Saints, Lissette and Matthew agree to maintain the ruse for the week leading up to Christmas in New Orleans. Upon arriving in the Crescent City, Matthew is subjected to 'hazing' by Lissette's protective family, including her brother Clay and sister Taborah. The situation is complicated by the presence of Gia Cole, a music journalist and Lissette's high school rival, who is writing a feature on the Toussaint family. As Lissette and Matthew participate in local traditions—like visiting City Park, caroling for locals, and even filling in as Santa and Mrs. Claus at a community center—their old feelings resurface. However, tension arises when Matthew's business partner, Parker, leaks a story claiming Lissette is leaving her label to join Matthew's new company, Bend Records. Lissette, fearing she is being used for her connections just like she was by a previous ex, breaks off the fake engagement and asks Matthew to leave. After a heart-to-heart with Gia Cole, who reveals that Matthew wasn't the source of the leak, Lissette realizes she has let her past trauma cloud her judgment. She finds Matthew at Jackson Square, where they confess their genuine love for one another. The film culminates in a Christmas Eve concert at All Saints, where the family announces they will keep the club open as a joint venture between the siblings. Matthew proposes to Lissette for real, and the movie ends with a rare New Orleans snowfall.
