Jim Thorburn is the kind of actor Hallmark keeps in the rotation without ever handing him the marquee, and across ten films from 2012 to 2020 he never once top-bills. What he is instead is dependable company. Eight of those ten are Christmas titles, almost always a small town in the dead of winter, and he plays them straight rather than mugging for laughs. He also shows up alongside the same faces again and again. Michael Kopsa, Callum Seagram Airlie, and P. Lynn Johnson each share four films with him, so this is genuine ensemble work, not a one-off.
