When Love Springs

Rory Richards is a dedicated junior publicist in the city, striving to make partner at Extend PR under her demanding boss, Melody. She travels to the Lily Lake B&B for her parents' vow renewal, accompanied by her sister Cleo. Upon arrival, she has a clumsy meet-cute with Noah, the son of the B&B owner, who is dancing to loud music while filing taxes. The situation turns awkward when Rory spots her ex-boyfriend, Jason—who broke up with her months prior—checking in with a new girlfriend, Sarah. To save face, Rory impulsively introduces Noah as her boyfriend. Noah, who is struggling to keep the B&B afloat and facing pressure from his father to sell, initially refuses the ruse but eventually agrees when Rory offers to rebrand the inn for free to impress upcoming travel critic Penny Traverse. As they maintain the charade, Rory and Noah begin to bond. Noah takes Rory to a 'fairy tree' where his grandmother used to leave 'fairy wisdom' and treasures, a tradition that highlights the B&B's sentimental history. Rory encourages Noah to embrace the inn's rustic roots rather than trying to compete with modern luxury resorts. She enlists Cleo to design a new logo based on the old Lily Festival and helps Noah rediscover his passion for photography. Meanwhile, Jason and Sarah's relationship crumbles because Jason remains a workaholic, leading Jason to realize he made a mistake with Rory. The conflict peaks when Rory's boss, Melody, discovers Rory has been doing 'pro bono' work for the B&B and threatens to fire her if she doesn't return to the city immediately. Simultaneously, a misunderstanding occurs when a PR article is published that credits Rory's firm instead of Rory personally, making Noah feel like a mere 'project.' Rory leaves for the city, missing the start of her parents' ceremony, but realizes during a phone call with Melody that she no longer wants to climb the corporate ladder at the expense of her happiness. She quits her job and rushes back to Lily Lake. She arrives just in time for the vow renewal, where her parents reaffirm their love. Rory and Noah reconcile, admitting that their 'fake' feelings have become real. The film ends with the B&B saved by a glowing review from Penny Traverse, Cleo landing a new design job through Noah's connections, and Rory and Noah sharing a real kiss as they plan their first 'real' date.
