Full story (spoilers)
Dave Warner asks Casey's law-school team to help his wife Sharon, who was convicted of murdering Katherine Harris. Katherine's body was found frozen near her Schuylkill County cabin, and preserved forensic evidence gives the team a chance to challenge the conviction. Sharon's dispute with Katherine began when Katherine's daughter bullied Sharon's daughter at Penn Park Academy.
Casey, Eli, Sarah, and Liam uncover missing discovery, biased testimony, and pressure from Katherine's husband Austin to close the case. Casey and Eli pose as prospective parents, then work undercover at the school's Winter Weather Get-Together. They learn that Katherine had embezzled Parent-School Coalition funds and that several board members wanted her removed.
After someone attacks Sarah and tries to destroy evidence, the team recovers antlers from a well at Katherine's property and an antique iron from the cabin. The wounds show that Katherine was pushed into the antlers during a struggle, while Kenneth Randolph's DNA on the iron and hospital record place him at the scene.
At a coalition meeting, the team explains that Kenneth confronted Katherine about the stolen funds. Katherine struck him with the iron, he pushed her into the antlers, and Kimber helped him move the body and plant evidence against Sharon. Sharon's charges are dismissed, Kenneth and Kimber face involuntary-manslaughter and obstruction charges, and Casey and Eli acknowledge the trust and romantic interest growing between them.
