Marry Me at Christmas

The film opens in the town of Fool's Gold, where Maddie Krug and her business partner Isabel are struggling to keep their bridal shop, Paper Moon, afloat due to an impending rent increase. Their luck changes when Ginger Blake and her fiancé Oliver arrive, needing a wedding planned in just a few weeks before they move to London for Oliver's medical residency. Maddie, though primarily a dressmaker, agrees to act as their wedding planner to save her business. Soon after, Johnny Blake, a famous action star known for the 'Fire's Edge' franchise, arrives in town to support his sister Ginger. He initially tries to stay incognito as 'Steve' but is quickly recognized. Johnny offers to fund the wedding entirely, insisting on 'the sky's the limit' for his sister. As Maddie and Johnny spend time together selecting venues and decorations, they develop a deep connection. Johnny is charmed by the simplicity of Fool's Gold and Maddie’s genuine nature, while Maddie sees the sensitive man behind the 'Alpha One' action persona. A pivotal moment occurs during a snowball fight where Maddie reveals her competitive side, and later, when Johnny fills in as a last-minute Santa Claus for a town event, showing great empathy toward a young boy who lost his father. However, tension arises from their different worlds; Johnny is constantly hounded by his agent, Barb, to sign on for a sequel, while Maddie is wary of the spotlight after a past heartbreak with her ex-boyfriend, Ted. The conflict reaches a boiling point when Isabel, desperate for publicity to save the shop, leaks a photo of Maddie and Johnny to the press. Simultaneously, a news report surfaces showing Johnny having an 'intimate' dinner in L.A. with his co-star, Natalie Fernandez. Maddie feels betrayed on two fronts: she believes Johnny is still living his Hollywood playboy life, and Johnny believes Maddie used him for fame. They have a falling out, agreeing to remain professional only until the wedding is over. Isabel eventually confesses her betrayal to Maddie, and Johnny explains that the dinner was a professional ambush by his producers. At the Christmas Eve wedding, after Ginger and Oliver are married, Johnny and Maddie reconcile. Johnny reveals he has bought a house in Fool's Gold and plans to move there permanently, choosing a 'slower pace' of life with Maddie.
