    Full story (spoilers)
Alexandra Brown is a creative jewelry designer who builds personalized pieces for other people but has lost touch with her own needs. After finding a box filled with gifts and belongings from former boyfriends, she realizes how often she bends herself to make relationships work. Her friend Megan points out that Alexandra is an expert at tuning into customers while ignoring herself. At the same time, delivery driver Jack O'Keefe struggles with his own guardedness, his irritation with Alexandra's overly elaborate customer notes, and the pressure of an Express Now bonus competition that could help him pay off his sister Haley's graduate-school loan. Megan introduces Alexandra and their friends to the Fire and Aspire trend, in which participants burn objects connected to old relationships and verbally describe what they want from a future partner. Alexandra burns gifts from her exes and asks for someone who appreciates classic literature, heartfelt music, vintage things, emotional intelligence, shared learning, and mutual support. The ritual gives her a sense of clarity, but it also encourages her to expect a highly specific, almost magically manifested soulmate. Jack remains skeptical of romance after being hurt by his former partner and focuses on winning his workplace contest instead. The inciting incident arrives when Alexandra receives a purple package with no clear address. It contains men's belongings that seem to match nearly every quality she has just requested, so she concludes that she has manifested her perfect man and that the package is somehow connected to him. She confronts Jack, the delivery driver, and persuades him to let her accompany him while he searches for the intended Alex Brown. A barcode scan fails to identify the package, and Jack discovers multiple Alex Browns on his route. Alexandra turns the delivery run into a soulmate investigation, while also coaching Jack on how to be friendlier with customers so he can improve his contest rating. Her improvised customer-service techniques, including asking about package placement and offering to take out a compost bin, help Jack earn better reviews even as they repeatedly violate delivery rules. As they visit one wrong Alex Brown after another, Alexandra and Jack begin to understand each other. They bond over old things, vintage vehicles, food sharing, and their disappointments in love. Jack admits that his breakup hurt because he had made himself vulnerable, while Alexandra recognizes that her exhaustive list of requirements may be another way to avoid taking a real emotional risk. Haley contributes real-estate data to narrow the list of possible recipients, and Ed, Jack's anxious but loyal coworker, helps despite the danger to his own job. Alexandra also gains confidence about her career and finally admits that she wants a permanent shop rather than a life of consignments and temporary pop-ups. After a long day of searching, Jack and Alexandra share dinner and become increasingly aware of their attraction, but they postpone the final delivery until morning rather than arrive at a stranger's house in the middle of the night. Jack gives Alexandra a sticky note bearing the line that good food is sweeter when shared, and he decides to risk being emotionally open. The search leads them to the wrong address on Meadowbrook Road before Ed discovers that the actual Alex Brown lives at 832 Jefferson, an address omitted from the original list because the neighborhood was recently annexed. Irina, Jack's competitive rival, ultimately accepts that Jack's improved ratings have put him ahead in the contest. At 832 Jefferson, Alexandra realizes that the handsome Alex Brown who receives the package is not the person she truly wants. She tells Jack that her expanded list of must-haves describes someone adventurous, generous, supportive, emotionally perceptive, and willing to accept her babbling when she has strong feelings. Jack admits that he wants Alexandra and promises to keep showing up at her building, even if she keeps ignoring his sticky notes. The package is finally delivered, but the real resolution is the couple choosing each other. In the final scene, Alexandra opens a permanent jewelry business using Jack's former vintage delivery truck, Jack helps her maximize the space, Ed keeps his job, and Alexandra and Jack are together as the new shop welcomes customers.
