    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The town has exactly one plane, one pilot, and that pilot is also the only mechanic.
    • A 'Moose Crossing' is treated as a legitimate and frequent traffic delay that can cause one to miss an entire flight.
    • The protagonist is forced to become a 'Jingle Bell Princess' as a condition of her stay.
    • The rare flower only grows in this one specific remote Alaskan village.

    Full story (spoilers)
Jessica Perez is a high-powered Manhattan wedding planner vying for a prestigious international promotion to London. Her current client, celebrity singer Renee, demands rare 'Jingle Bell' flowers for her Christmas Eve wedding—a flower that is out of season and nearly impossible to find. Jessica tracks the flowers to Tapeesa, Alaska, a tiny town of 112 people. Upon arrival, she meets Matt Holden, a botanist who returned to his hometown to help his Aunt Mary run their flower farm after his uncle passed away. Their introduction is a classic 'fish out of water' scenario as Jessica struggles with the extreme cold and the lack of modern amenities. Disaster strikes when Matt's truck gets stuck at a moose crossing, causing Jessica to miss the only flight out of town. The pilot, who is also the town's mechanic, informs her that the plane is grounded until a part arrives in three days. Stuck in Tapeesa, Jessica is hosted by Aunt Mary and drafted into the town's Jingle Bell Festival, even being crowned the 'Jingle Bell Princess.' While she initially tries to manage Renee's wedding remotely via spotty cell service, she begins to bond with Matt. They spend time together decorating the community center after its pipes freeze, viewing the Aurora Borealis, and making snow angels. Matt reveals he previously lived in New York but left after a divorce and his uncle's death, while Jessica realizes she has been neglecting her own family in favor of her career. Back in New York, a rival planner named Rebecca attempts to steal the Renee account by highlighting Jessica's absence. Just as Jessica is removed from the account by her boss, Matt and the townspeople coordinate to get the airport open early so she can fly home with the flowers. Jessica arrives in New York just in time to deliver the bouquet to a grateful Renee. Realizing her priorities have shifted, Jessica turns down the London promotion to stay close to her family. On Christmas, Matt surprises Jessica in New York, announcing he has finished his dissertation and accepted a teaching position at a local university. The film ends with the couple reuniting and sharing a kiss at a Christmas reception.
