    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The central conflict is based on a 2010-era 'mommy blog' flame war.
    • The protagonist's daughter considers moving to Alaska specifically because of a blog comment from a stranger.
    • The 'Teddy Bear Doctor' persona where a grown man gives medical shots to stuffed animals to calm children.

    Full story (spoilers)
Carly Ashby is a dedicated single mother to her high school senior daughter, Sadie, and the owner of a local flower shop. To share her experiences, she writes a blog called 'Parenting From the Soul' as 'Bestie Mom.' The film opens with Carly reflecting on the challenges of motherhood as Sadie prepares for college. Meanwhile, Andy Sommers is a local pediatrician and single father to a rebellious teen named Troy. Andy, under the handle 'Juggling Dad,' begins leaving critical comments on Carly's blog, sparking a digital war over parenting philosophies—Carly favors emotional availability while Andy insists on 'Old School' discipline. In the physical world, Andy visits Carly's flower shop and the two share an immediate, charming connection, eventually going on a 'taco date' in the park. As their romance blossoms, Andy's sister Lauren and her husband Simon encourage him to pursue Carly. However, the conflict escalates when Sadie announces she wants to skip college to travel to Africa or Indonesia, a decision Carly tries to handle with her signature 'listening' style, though she is secretly terrified. Andy discovers Carly's online identity first and, fearing her reaction, hides the fact that he is her digital nemesis. The truth comes out during a dinner date at Andy's house when Carly sees his 'Juggling Dad' notifications. Feeling betrayed and blaming his influence for Sadie's sudden desire to move to Alaska for school, Carly breaks up with him. The tension breaks when Sadie falls ill with pleurisy; Andy steps in as her doctor, providing expert care and showing Carly his true character. Realizing they both have things to learn about parenting, they begin to reconcile. The film reaches its climax at a Blogger Symposium where Andy takes the stage to publicly apologize and confess his love, admitting that Carly truly is the 'Bestie Mom.' They reunite, agreeing that a mix of their parenting styles is the best path forward.
