    Wait, what?

The quirks and curveballs that make this one a little weirder than your average Hallmark. No spoilers, promise.

    • The town mascot is a marmot named Charlotte that residents hide and dress in human clothes.
    • A guest explains the Icelandic 'Christmas Cat' which eats children who don't receive new clothes for Christmas.

    Full story (spoilers)
Paige Parker is a high-achieving event planner in Denver who returns to her hometown of Coyote Creek for the holidays. Her parents, Rick and Linda, have grown tired of the daily grind and want to sell the Coyote Creek Inn to travel the world. They have secretly entered negotiations with Dylan Bailey, a developer from Denver who arrives at the inn with his young son, Noah, to perform a 'quick evaluation' of the property. To keep the holiday spirit alive, Rick and Linda ask Dylan to keep his true purpose a secret from Paige. Paige, meanwhile, decides to use the inn's annual Christmas Eve party to boost her career portfolio, settling on a 'Christmas Around the World' theme to celebrate the diverse traditions of the inn's guests. As Paige plans the event, she and Dylan are frequently thrown together. Their relationship begins when they meet in a gazebo while Paige is hunting for 'Charlotte the Marmot,' a local mascot that townspeople hide and dress in holiday clothes. Dylan and Noah join Paige for various traditions, including selecting a 'perfect' tree and helping the local baker, Sarah, fulfill a massive cookie order. Noah, who uses a 'word of the day' to describe his experiences, quickly grows fond of Paige. However, Dylan is under pressure from his brother and business partner, Jack, who wants to demolish the inn to build a modern luxury resort to satisfy corporate investors. Dylan begins to feel guilty as he falls for Paige and realizes how much the inn means to the community. The conflict reaches a breaking point when Paige accidentally answers a phone call from Jack, who mentions the final estimates for the sale. Devastated by the betrayal of her parents and Dylan, Paige confronts them, feeling that her memories and her budding romance were based on a lie. Dylan and Noah leave for a trip to the Grand Canyon, but Dylan realizes he cannot go through with the demolition. He returns to Coyote Creek with a 'Coyote Creek 2.0' proposal that preserves the historic inn while expanding it, convincing his investors that the property's charm is its most valuable asset. At the international-themed Christmas party, Paige’s parents agree to the new plan, Paige decides to stay and run the inn herself, and she reconciles with Dylan, ending the night with a kiss under the fireworks.
