A Royal Corgi Christmas

Prince Edmond, the 'playboy prince' of Comfrey, returns home for the holidays with a surprise gift for Queen Portia: an untrained corgi named Mistletoe that he won in a card game. During a royal luncheon, Mistletoe causes a chaotic scene by destroying the buffet, an event captured on video and dubbed 'Puppygate' by the media. To save the royal family's reputation before the Christmas Ball, Edmond hires Cecily Bowman, a popular YouTube dog trainer who is looking for funding for her charity, Rover Rehab. Cecily insists that Edmond must be personally involved in the training, leading to a series of bonding sessions where Edmond begins to show a more responsible side. Meanwhile, a subplot involves Princess Victoria and the royal corgi wrangler, Alec Carrington, who are secretly dating. Alec is an elitist who refuses to train Mistletoe because the dog lacks a royal pedigree. As Cecily and Edmond grow closer, they share a romantic evening cooking 'Comfrey cottage pie' and dancing in a style Edmond describes as 'fencing without swords.' Edmond organizes a 'Corgi Darby' (race) for charity, which is a massive success and proves his potential as a leader. However, Alec discovers a research binder created by Cecily's manager, Jacob, which contains detailed notes on Edmond’s assets and preferences. Alec uses this to convince Edmond that Cecily is a gold-digger. Heartbroken, Edmond fires Cecily. Princess Victoria, realizing Alec's true nature, breaks up with him and encourages her brother to see the truth. At the Christmas Ball, Queen Portia announces that she is stepping down, but instead of naming Edmond, she names Victoria as the next monarch, a move Edmond secretly orchestrated. Edmond finds Cecily at the kennels, apologizes for his lack of trust, and explains that he has given up the crown to forge his own path. The film ends with the couple reconciled, planning a future that includes both royal duties and Brooklyn pizza.
