About the series
Jennifer runs a restaurant in Salt Lake City. Her sister Meg lives in Hazelwood and helps at the family bakery. When Jennifer returns home with her son, Meg heads to the city, and each film follows a different side of the exchange. A Hometown Holiday centres the old family theatre; Christmas in the City follows the restaurant. Watching both fills in the sisters' shared Christmas.
What to expect
The sisters' responsibilities give the two films different settings. Jennifer and her son hope for another Christmas at a theatre that needs repairs. Meg helps the restaurant prepare for a competition that benefits charity. Family grief sits behind both projects, with the sisters finding room for romance as they change places.
