Sand Dollar Cove

Elli Ebersol, a developer from a firm in Stamford, arrives in Sand Dollar Cove to scout a location for a luxury resort. She stays at the Sol-Mates Bed and Breakfast, run by a woman named Nana, who is the grandmother of the local bait and tackle shop owner, Brody Bradshaw. Elli's first encounter with Brody happens on the beach when his dog, Piper, enthusiastically greets her. The conflict is established quickly: Elli's company wants to buy Brody's land to build a resort, but her boss, Anna, insists on demolishing the town's historic pier, which was damaged in a recent storm. Brody, a former lawyer who returned home to take over the family business, is fiercely protective of the pier, which has been in his family for generations and holds deep sentimental value for the entire town. To bridge the gap, Brody gives Elli a fishing lesson and takes her out on his boat, where they discuss their respective pasts—Brody's desire to help people like his grandfather did, and Elli's sidelined passion for architecture. As the story progresses, Elli becomes integrated into the town's life, joining Brody and his niece Milly to win the annual sandcastle-building competition. She also learns that the town's 'Summer Jamboree' fundraiser is at risk due to storm cleanup costs. Elli convinces her boss to sponsor the event as a PR move, which earns her the town's gratitude. However, the professional tension peaks when Anna rejects a compromise to move the resort to an abandoned oyster factory, giving Elli an ultimatum: get Brody to sell the pier or move to a different town. Believing the deal is dead, Elli leaves Sand Dollar Cove. In her absence, Brody realizes through Nana's advice that people and memories matter more than buildings; he decides to sell the land to Elli's company to fund his own dream of opening a law practice. Simultaneously, Elli works through the night to create a new architectural design that incorporates the pier as a centerpiece rather than destroying it. She returns to Sand Dollar Cove to present the approved plan to Brody. The film concludes with the two reconciling on the pier, with Elli staying on as the project manager, ensuring she will remain in town with Brody.
