The premise

Emily arrives home hoping to visit her parents, only to find that they are going on a trip of their own. While she stays at her house for the holidays, her HOA is determined to get Emily involved in the neighborhood Christmas festivities.

How unusual is it?

Middle of the road, with a twist — Santa himself and an enemies-to-lovers arc keep it from being totally by-the-book.

Why we’d put this one on

A fun premise that plays the suburbs for laughs. Lacey Chabert comes home expecting a quiet visit, finds her parents headed off on a trip, and instead gets pulled into her neighborhood's aggressively festive holiday program by an HOA that will not take no for an answer. Stephen Tobolowsky and Melissa Peterman bring real comic energy to the pushy committee. At a weirdness of 5 the joke is the cheerful tyranny of mandatory cheer. Light, a little tongue-in-cheek, and a nice change from the small-town formula. Easy company for a Christmas night.
